Problems or Challenges.
In August 2022, Minitopia identified that only 5 – 15% of their sales came from their digital channels. Their objective was to significantly increase this percentage and grow their sales on Shopify. They chose to partner with Fisher Digital, a marketing agency with a deep understanding of e-commerce brands and expertise in leveraging digital channels such as Google Ads, SEO, and Social Media Ads. Minitopia’s expectation from the partnership was clear – enhance their online sales.
Our Approach or Solution.
Fisher Digital assembled a team of digital marketing specialists to formulate and implement a multi-channel strategy for Minitopia. This included Google Merchant, Performance Max, SEO, and Paid Social strategies, along with a comprehensive retargeting plan for the website audience through Meta and Google Ads.
Meta campaigns focused on interest prospecting for specific interests along with dynamic product ads to retarget individuals at different stages of the purchase funnel. Google Performance Max campaigns were deployed for key collections (e.g., Harry Potter, One Piece, Hello Kitty, Loungefly), with retargeting strategies crafted for each.
Google Merchant was employed to maintain the same connection feed, resolve issues with GTINs, and improve the structure of the campaigns. Specific retargeting strategies were used for abandoned carts, product viewers, and previous buyers.
The first month was dedicated to creating a digital channel plan and setting up the necessary tools and campaigns. The team outlined Minitopia’s unique selling propositions (USPs), target market, competitors, and objectives. Seasonal impacts on retail and potential campaign opportunities around holidays were also evaluated.
In terms of immediate results, within the first three months of implementing our strategies, Minitopia experienced a swift impact with a 16% increase in online sales, compared to the preceeding period. This demonstrated the efficacy of Fisher Digital’s approach and strategies.
After almost 9 months of collaboration with Fisher Digital, Minitopia’s online sales saw a notable increase of 23% from ‘sales attributed to marketing’, compared with the 9 months prior to their engagement with us. The online channel has proven to have a higher ROI compared to in-store, marking a substantial shift in their sales structure.
Moving forward, the Fisher Digital team plans to further augment Minitopia’s e-commerce growth by focusing on improving their Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and workflow automation. This will enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of their new lead, inactive lead, abandoned cart, and purchaser marketing funnels. Our ongoing partnership with Minitopia is centred around continuous improvement and sustainable growth, ensuring they remain a competitive player in the online retail space.
